Nicole Virginia Hessen
Nicole Hessen is a founding attorney at Ganon & Hessen, P.A., a West Palm Beach law firm that restricts its practice to representing injured workers in Florida workers’ compensation claims along the Treasure Coast and statewide. Ms. Hessen is compassionate with her clients and works to make sure they get the care and compensation they need to deal with their injuries. To that end, she is a passionate, zealous advocate for her clients who does not accept anything less than the best result possible for her clients.
Nicole Hessen has spent her professional life helping injured workers in one capacity or another, and has devoted her entire legal career to helping injured workers obtain workers’ compensation benefits in Florida. She is an AV rated attorney as determined by the prestigious legal directory Martindale Hubbell, indicating the highest levels of legal ability, ethics and professionalism as rated by her peers in the legal profession. Ms. Hessen was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2013 and has been selected to Super Lawyers every year since 2015. In 2014 she was named to Florida Legal Elite by Florida Trend and also named a Leader in Law – Employment Attorney of the Year by Lifestyle Media Group. She is a recipient of the Kennie Edwards Award by the Palm Beach County Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Practice Committee.
Ms. Hessen is highly involved and active in the Palm Beach legal community and in the workers’ compensation legal community statewide. She is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Law section of The Florida Bar and is a member and former longtime chair of the Workers’ Compensation Practice Committee of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Ms. Hessen is also very active in the Palm Beach County chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL), of which she is a past president, and her firm was given the Family Friendly Firm Award by FAWL in 2013.
Ms. Hessen is a frequent author and lecturer to the legal community in employment law and workers’ compensation issues at the Palm Beach County and state levels. She completed her undergraduate degree at Florida Atlantic University and earned her Juris Doctor law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in south Florida. She is an active member of The Florida Bar, Palm Beach County Bar Association, Florida Workers’ Advocates, Palm Beach County FAWL, and the Palm Beach County Hispanic Bar Association.
